my knowledge of hip hop is so slight that i only learned about this legendary music producer last year. a friend took me to the annual Dilla party, Donuts Are Forever, and i danced in ecstasy all night long. had no idea that one man was responsible for the sounds that i considered to be the glory days of hip hop. great music, great party. so i'll def be at this year's! next sunday at brooklyn bowl.
