the little red backpack that could. i've traveled all over the world with this rucksack. i find those huge backpacker ones obnoxious, so i prefer to use this more modest pack. after a trek to Kenya and hiking up Kilimajaro, i promised myself to never carry more than i'd want to carry on my back up a mountain. this little baby has served me well on treks of a weekend to 3 months. but seven years of treks has left it battered - broken zipper, ripped straps... should i replace it or channel the Cuban spirit of repairing and maintaining old things (like they do with those old classic American cars!)?
